Weekend Update in New Diary

I am doing pretty good. I had a fairly good weekend. Saturday gf’s sister came up from down the river. She took us out to eat and shopping. We went to Ponderosa restaurant. It is a steak house with a buffet. We all had the buffet. I had my usual chicken, stuffing and corn. The girls had a salad and some other items. It was good. I wasn’t all that crazy about the coffee but the food was good . I sure as heck ate a lot. I was hungry.
Then we went to Goodwill. This was when I started having problems . I got very short of breath. I found a place to sit while they went shopping. GF found a dress and she bought a package of socks for me. From there we went to Wal Mart. Wal Mart was a mad house. Sometimes I don’t do very well around a lot of people. That was one of those times. I think gf was all shopped out as well. She did buy a candle. Elaine picked up a few things. Then we went home . GF and her sister exchanged a few Christmas gifts .
GF had a bad night . She had to put up with some very noisy neighbors. Then somebody rang her busser late at night. She was sort of tired yesterday morning. But she went around her business as usual. We both did our laundry. She spent some time with her friend “Sheri”. while she did her laundry on the 8th floor .
Sunday afternoon I worked on budgets for the next month. It is going to be a grim month. For one thing I have to apply for social security benefits. We are going to get an SSI raise in January. But I am 63 years old. I have to apply for regular social security this month. I do not know how this will effect my SSI. I am hoping things will work themselves out and I will not lose money. Anyways I worked out my budget and it looks like I will not be able to buy a couple things I’ve been wanting next month. Bummer .

I cooked supper last night. We had a homestyle bake.. They are easy to fix and only cost $3 a box. They make are great for two people After supper gf and I had an interesting discussion. I really need to clean up my act and get my shit together . Will be making some major changes about myself before we get married .
