What day is it? in blackpropaganda

Another day and I shall not know what day it is!! This is the problem of Christmas - every day becomes a Sunday - all the TV schedules are shot to pieces - no one bothers about news programmes - and that will soon be upon us.
So today is Friday - and it had to be the end of procrastination and I had to book a hire car for Spain in January - I hate doing this kine of thing and making sure everything is OK - but (crossing fingers and legs) it all seems to be OK - and at four Euros a day what more could I want?
So now I can get on with putting the cards up on strings - and writing my annual e-mail letter to any friends and relations who might be interested. I try not to make it a list of all the things we have done - but just the highlights - and with e mail you can insert a few pics too. I try to get all the writing on one page and so without the pics I could print some off for those without e mails.
Then I think I shall have finished my preparations (hmmm)
Just two more nights and the days get longer - no wonder the people stick in parts of Britain two thousand odd years ago had a wonderful time celebrating this change - although there was still the big chill to come - so lots of feasting, wassailing, drinking - and shagging!!!!! What else is there to do after feasting and drinking to keep warm?
Then they had a growth in population in late September or so next year - of course this is not only in pre-Christian times - I was an early October baby - no doubt from welcoming in the New Year. So the Christians grafted on the story of Jesus to this bacchanalia - so you could still shag (like Joseph apparently did not) but with a good Christian outlook.
Anyway - still plenty to say about Christmas later - whatever day it is!
And I loved this oneā€¦
