NoJoMo Day 7 in Diary

Oops, I didn't write yesterday, I didn't even last a week of NoJoMo. I have an excuse, I was REALLY busy at work all day then went straight to the cinema. We went to see Thor 2. It was ok, with some funny bits, but the plot was a little 'bitty' to start with. It didn't seem to have much of a plot at first and it took ages to get going. It does have a pretty Natalie Portman to look at though. She would be on my list, along with Ellen Page and Christina Ricci.

Things I learned today. When you try and have a discussion with someone who is intolerant of something (in this case, she wants to BAN THE BURKA! She actually means a niqab, I don't recall ever seeing anyone wearing a burka in the UK) to find out their reasons why, most of the time they will keep changing their answer whenever you challenge them, even contradicting themselves in an effort to make up a reason and, when you point this out, they come out with the famous line "I'm entitled to my opinion." Which instantly wins and ends any argument. When, all along, what they actually mean "I'm a massive bigot and I'm desperately trying to think of a more reasonable argument to try and cover up this fact."

This was a discussion on Facebook with my cousin, Christmas is going to be fun! ;o) Ah it'll have been forgotten by then.

Dad's finally home! He was away for four nights and was going mad, sick of hospitals and sick of Liverpool, lol. He said it was strange driving home when he can only see out of one eye. Eeek, yes I'm sure it is, and also quite dangerous! At least he has three more days off work before he has to go back, hopefully the swelling and pain will have gone down by then.
