Swallowing, baking and Friday funnies in blackpropaganda

Wow, was I jaded after two wine tasting in 24 hours. OK, I know I should spit (as the actress said to the bishop) but it was just too good - seven wines yesterday afternoon starting with a champagne and finishing with a 1994 vintage port.
We had fish and chips afterwards - but could not face any wine - and I felt full all evening - and tired.
However, this morning, revived by a good night’s sleep and porridge for breakfast I feel ready for some more later on. Also Butternut squash soup made by SW… was a joy, especially with a chuck of my home made (breadmaker) mixed grain bread.
Tonight off to another seasonal concert - followed by mince pies and mulled wine - which will go down well since the sleety stuff is still coming down.
