The Last Canvas …. in The odd entries from life …….

We had our last acrylic painting class this afternoon, and the subject was in tune with the season, more winter than festive! Judi is quite open to the way we treat the subject of the week, the handouts have no title so I have given my canvas with a diacritic title ‘Winter Night’ others in the class could be ‘Winter Afternoon’ or ‘Snowy Day’

Looking at every ones work at the end of class we could see the various ways we had gone, some skies were different blues or degrees of grey, I’m in the latter group with mine a near monochrome; there is colour if you could look closely!

The colours are all dark colours, a hint of green here and a little burnt-sienna there, as with recent subject I intend to make a larger and hopefully better paintng! Judi has set home work for those of us retuning next year, one painting to show to her at first class, I intend to show several canvases; in my maths several could be two or five.

I have was going give some paintings for Christmas, now they will be New Year gifts, and passable dispatched just after the first classes ……
