The Canadian Pacific RR’s Christmas trains are staffed by volunteers - including the musicians who entertain at all the stops. The girl singer is Kira (or Kera - the internet isn’t sure) Isabella.

This stop was in Lansing IA last night. It drew a great crowd with an unbelievable number of small children - all in good moods and happy to get close to a train.

Jim said the engine was a GP2- ECO, a not very big one to pull the maybe twenty empty box cars and a coach. Generators in box cars make the electricity to power the pretty lights and run the music.

The Christmas train is a fund raiser for local food banks. The public is asked to bring non-perishable food. The local firemen were receiving the contributions. The RR gave $4000 to the local food bank.
