Job! in Hello.

So I might have a job! :) The one I had a surprise interview for a few entries back and it took them ages to get back in touch to tell me I’d been unsuccessful. The manager got back in touch with me yesterday to tell me they’d had a restructure, was I still available? The only problem is, this college course might prove to be a problem yet, I’m not sure. This job would require me to work every Saturday, but the college course is one Saturday a month. So I’m thinking....the course would help me ultimately towards my long term career goal, but the job will pay for me to have driving lessons and put money away for a car and a house deposit. She asked me at great detail what my days were and what the course entails, so I think if it’s a problem, I’m going to have to jack the course in. Ultimately, driving is a better skill to have than knowing a quad bike engine inside out! Plus if I were an employer, I wouldn’t be happy if one of my workers was being awkward about what days they were working, with a mind to leaving when something better comes up.

She wants me to go in on Monday for a chat, so I might be working again this time next week, at a shop that is literally 2 minutes from my house. I know absolutely NOTHING about Pandora jewellery, which is what I will be selling, I think!

I’m still going to apply for the costumed interpreter job at the National Trust property, that’s only 6 hours a week and can be worked around other commitments. I can think of a worse job than dressing up in period costume and educating kids. :)
