You may have hear that this painting by Georgia O’Keefe was bought for $44.4 million at a sale - the highest price for a painting by a woman
Jimson Weed White Flower No 1
I have loved O’Keefe’s flower pictures for years - and especially those which show a woman’s vulva - sometime sweet, sometimes challenging - like these from her Black Iris series
She certainly makes a woman’s parts attractive!
This is an educational entry

When I went to Rome 3 years ago I went to an exhibition of her paintings. Very magnificent and unusual. The flower pictures, i saw ones like the one that sold, we're all very suggestive and the colours were amazing. I remembered you posting a picture of a rose like that and they made me think of you.

Damn internet and lack of tone. Maybe it should be more like "daaayum." As in wow. Haha.

Very beautiful. I do prefer the first flower one the best, but like you said...she can definitely turn something that isn't always the most appealing, or often very scientific when looking at the anatomy...into something very beautiful
