Lola dislikes going out in the rain, which was a problem last night as it started raining just before darkness, come midnight looking out through the kitchen window I could see stare rods in the patch of light from the light in the lane. Stare rods were used to hold stare carpets in place on the steps, also it raining ‘stare rods’ meant it was raining heard; I recall it being used when I was young!

It the conditions Lola hates going out, so before taking out reluctant Westie I had to put her raincoat on her, she not very keen to wear it, but it was on and out we went, the idea is to get Lola to the lawn before she starts to shake her self, once Lola has began shaking it will take longer.

Out there it was pouring with rain, we were just half way to the lawn when she began to shake the rain of her self, once she had finished we made our way to the lawn then she didn’t like the lawn; it has been raining hard for some time! So stood in the rain on a very wet lawn Lola spent half of her time shaking rain of her, the rest of the time trying to leave the lawn ….

So I was stood on the step keeping Lola on the lawn, after five minuets of silliness Lola turned round a chose her spot, then lingered to shake again and really it was only her head that was truly wet; then we returned to the warm and the dryness. Ziggy went out with out a raincoat, we trotted across the patio and down he went on to the lawn, he spent seconds seeking his spot; then he was keenly on his way across the patio.
