Online scam: summer 2024 in Meaningful

For about 2 years I’ve been dealing with a popular online scam where people pretend to be Eva Elfie the Russian porn actress. I take one profile down and another pops up. What is frustrating is that social media is using artificial intelligence more to determine if the profiles violate the rules yet it misses a lot. This one ongoing case I have been monitoring is a single mother who takes care of her disabled adult son. He has schizophrenia and bipolar and was lured in by one of Eva scammers. Since then he has continued to search for new Eva profiles online , each time believing they are real. I’ve taken maybe a dozen off the internet and officially reported them to authorities. The social media platforms say he’s an adult. What’s the difference being intoxicated at a bar and giving someone who says they like you money only to regret it the next day? True but I believe this is different. The family has lost personal information, bank accounts, extended family info, thousands of dollars, addresses, basically their lives have been sold on the dark web. One scammer I tracked the IP address from an email and they were about an hour drive away. I was just testing out and learning the new IP address stuff so it was a good experience. I drove to his house, got a recording of him telling the truth, confession in return for a lesser punishment and not exposing himself. He was just a single man, no permanent job and in bad health. I felt bad and so did he for what he was doing. He stopped, as far as I know currently, yet the disabled son immediately went into find another scammer within a two weeks. Once the Eva scammer was from Africa which is basically a dead end for prosecution of the person. I talked with the African scammer who admitted to me with my under cover profile that he makes 6 cents a day and uses the towns wifi and computer to scam Americans who he said were the most gullible and had the most money. The African scammer wanted to get married, he had a kid and baby in the way, their town had no running water and was run by a gang.
