Weekend in Each Day

I just realized it’s not Sunday today, but Monday. M and I took today off, it’s our last leave day of the year, which gives me some anxiety about making it to April when our leave days reset. I thought I had one more day, but apparently not. I didn’t do as good a job tracking them as I like to, so I feel a little in the dark. I asked the admin folks, though, and they said I had no days left.
Yesterday I wrote and this morning I submitted a proposal to a tattoo artist for matching tattoos for Red and I. We started talking about doing this in ‘21 after CK and I got our matching tattoos (anthropomorphic coffee and donut laughing), and since the beginning we were talking about a fox and a raven. And a few hours ago we confirmed our appointment for April 8, I’m so excited, I can’t wait. This is the same artist who did my Bataleur Eagle and King Protea tattoo in ‘22.
Next up in tattoos will be M and I. We want to get a hummingbird with the sun, and a bat with the moon. I feel like that’s such a good representation of us. I’ve asked Odd Lady to draw it up, but I think it hasn’t been a priority for her. I’ve asked once, but I don’t want to push.
This weekend Red, Mandy, Diana and I got together Saturday morning to go to a witchy fair. It has been so nice having people to do these things with, and my deepening interest in Kemeticism, it’s making me feel like I am where I am meant to be.
I bought a lapis lazuli worry stone (for Ma’at) and I’ve actually been carrying it around (mostly it lives in my bra) and a couple patches (a cat that looks an awful lot like Valentino, an Eye of Ra (orange) and Horus Eye (blue).
Then we went for lunch. So we didn’t do bronch clob (as we’ve named it) on Sunday. M and I watched Supercross and I did a bunch of sewing, I’m making a bag similar to the one I carried around Scotland Ireland England and Wales in 2007, which I loved and later gave to The Odd Lady. I wonder if she still has it… Anyway, this one is black, lined with a really vibrant fabric that I got from a cute shop on the South Shore that I love to buy from, and it will have anodized rainbow hardware. I think it’s going to be cute.
Tomorrow Cosmos gets neutered. I don’t know why but I feel hesitant this time, but above all I don’t want cats spraying in my house, so off they go.
As usual, it is late and I am tired. Until next time.
