I’ve been trying to eat less than usual but still not on a strict diet or anything. I need to be but I didn’t feel like just going cold turkey quite yet.
I wish I could get some semaglutides and I was exploring some compounding options but unfortunately it looks like those are going away soon since the name brand ones are back in stock.
Man it sucks so bad that a pharmaceutical company comes up with some miracle drug that could help millions of people get to a healthy weight and they lock it behind an arbitrary $1000/month paywall. It’s like $50/month in other countries, but yay America.
I hate Trump but if he could force pharmaceutical companies to stop taking advantage of american people I’d go buy myself a red hat with white letters tomorrow (kidding).

Weight watchers has a program that supplies the compounded GLP1s or whatever they are called. i havent looked into it. i do have a friend that is on wegovy due to her A1C being out of control....her script is like 33 a month or something. my FIL takes ozempic due to type 2 diabetes and his is like 200 a month (he is on medicare since he is in his 70s).

Yeah medicare can negotiate drug prices now and they've been able to get the cost down that way. What we need is a national medical program that negotiates drug prices on behalf of all americans so we can stop paying these ridiculous amounts for drugs that are a fraction of the cost elsewhere.

Totally feel u on this. I’ve been in the same boat—cutting back slowly but not ready for full-on keto life or whatever. I did hear from a friend who's into Pharmacy B2B that some smaller compounders are still doing semaglutide under the radar, but it’s hit or miss now. Big pharma really said “pay up or stay fat” lol.
