NoJoMo Day 1 in Diary

Well it's only the first day of NoJoMo and I can't think of anything to write. I got stuck in a traffic jam for half an hour on the way home from work because someone's car was on fire. It's now dark when I'm walking Roxie which means we can no longer go into the park, which bemuses her greatly as she always tugs on the lead to go in when we walk past. She loves to chase the squirrels and stands at the bottom of trees looking up for ages, like one is going to jump into her mouth or something. I'm also now wearing my waterproof winter coat and it's only November 1st. There's still another three months or so of the weather getting colder so all I can do from here is layer up even more from the four layers I'm already wearing.

Me and Jay are going to see Mark Lanegan again tomorrow. I can't remember if it's the third or fourth time we've seen him, but I always enjoy going. His voice is like gravelly caramel.

Study is going well, I'm halfway through my Domestic Pet Care NCFE Level 3 and I've got a distinction for all my essays so far, which I'm very pleased about. Take that, University me from 2000-2003, who only got a 2:2 for her essays. I'm also halfway through my Business and Administration NCFE Level 2 and have passed everything so far. For some reason you only get 'pass' or 'fail' for that one, my pet care one gives you Pass, Merit and Distinction.

Work is still really dull. That's about it.

NoJoMo Day 1 prompt was to talk about what makes your family unique. I'm not sure to be honest. We nutty and loyal, but then isn't every family? I think most people are struggling with this one so I'm not too put out.

Great, you all have another 29 days of these thrilling updates, I bet you can't wait!
