So my supvervisor and I had one of those, what I tend to call a “Come To Jesus” conversation.
She called me up to her office to clear the air and talk about things. She wanted to see what could be done to make things better for me, if there were any committees that I would like to be a part of, various things on my job duties.
We talked about that incident and I used this time to apologize to her. I told her that I wasn’t holding a grudge from the previous incident, but that those feelings retriggered when she used certain words and I felt that was an insult to my ability. I told her that I am usually methodical and more tactful in the way I let things be known and I had been wanting to apologize for that.
She appreciated the apology. It was a sincere apology.
She went on to say that our strain had been hurting her she didn’t want to lose my friendship. She’s had so much loss emotionally this year and she couldn’t stand it if I was part of it. Then we hugged it out and were being crybabies and such. That’s just who I am.
So while we are not back to 100% we are getting there. That’s more than I can say for others in my life, but it’s whatever.
Also, I got a bike from my sister in law. Glad for that because I did not want to buy one and she did give it to me so I’m grateful for that. It wasn’t working. I kept trying to peddle it but it wasn’t working. So I figured out the issue this morning. The chain was stuck in between two parts and that made it not work. So I fixed it. Now all I have to do is wait for the rain to stop and I’m in business. So all is well on that end too. :)
And to that I bid you see you later.
Respectfully yours,
Sister…
