I Know This Is A VERY Personal Thing To Say in WEEEE!

But I’m so happy the thrush is easing off! It’s non-sexual and another symptom of the dreaded menopause!

For about 2 weeks it **really ** flared up with agonizing ridges and lumps and horrendous itching and swellings. I tried Canesten and plain yoghurt but it was too painful for me to put it up there so I just had to put it on the outside and around. In the shower it was too painful for me to wash.

I have a RADAR key so could at least use the public disabled loo and cling on to various hand bars, lowering myself on to the loo very slowly and painfully as huge stinging and pricking tortured me. I couldn’t use the non-disabled loos because it was agony with a lower seat.

I seriously needed to see my doctor but while I’m sure she’d have been as gentle as possible, I couldn’t face her poking around with me laying there screaming the place down!

I’m always drinking gallons of cold water so increased it and I drank cranberry juice even though I’m not a big fan of it because it’s got some sort of anti-bacterial or something in it and I love yoghurts so have been scoffing some with honey in them.

The stinging is easing off now and as long as I’m careful I can start to sit and stand normally, can finally get some Canesten or yoghurt in there as it’s not tight as it was, can begin to bend down properly, sit and get in and out of bed properly again!

I’ve had it before, like razor blades in there and no doubt I’ll have it again!
