Poem: A sea of souls

Every soul
Turns into a prism
As their light
Strikes my diamond eyes
You’re just a color scheme
Disguising this fantasy
The pixels can only cover so much
There are holes in everything

I float around
As if my soul were free
I’ll dance
To the rhythm of eternity
I’ll be
What I wanna be
Even if
It drags me to
The bottom of the sea
I’m not a fool
I know I can’t breathe

I know
Everyone won’t understand
The meaning held in their hands
And they forget
How blind hate can be
The Ego deceives you and me
And the devil disguises itself
Hidden in the holes
Of our hearts
Trapped in perpetual sin
Exploding with hate
And I can no longer see
The light
I can no longer see
The prism of souls
And my heart sinks

You say you can see
You appear blind to me
I’m alone in thought
And yet
My emotions
Have taught me
I’m not the only one
Who can see eternity
