It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Since the summer, to be exact. I suppose I could say I’ve been busy, but busy is such a predictable excuse, isn’t it? Everyone’s busy. It’s the currency of modern life. Still, there’s something about the pace lately—like I’m sprinting on a treadmill and the incline keeps creeping up. Thrilling, yes, but it leaves little room for sitting quietly with my thoughts.

I’ve missed this space. There’s something grounding about putting it all down, untangling the chaos of the day. And let’s face it, who else can keep up with the nonstop chatter of my mind better than… well, me? But here’s the thing: I like to imagine other diarists out there, all scribbling/typing their days away, capturing the mundane, the monumental, and everything in between. It’s comforting. The idea of shared reflections.

Work has been relentless, of course. There’s always another goal to chase, another meeting to conquer. I thrive in it, but I wonder sometimes—what’s all this momentum for? Don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining. I love the challenge, the energy. But occasionally, in those still moments, I catch myself wondering if I’m running toward something, away from something, or just running.

Anyway, that’s a thought for another time. For now, I’m here. Writing again. And if you’re out there too, filling your pages, I hope you’ve found a moment of stillness in the rush. I want to promise to do this more often. There’s something profoundly human about it—this urge to record, reflect and connect.
