Leftists, from the bottom of my heart, FUCK YOU. in Those Public Entries

You know, I want to blame this election outcome on MAGAs, men, and the women who voted against their own best interests. But I can’t. Why? Because they told me who they were in 2016, and I believed them. A leopard doesn’t change its spots, right? So how could I possibly be angry at them, when they told us what they were going to do and then did it? “I am shocked and angry that you did exactly what I expected you to do.” Doesn’t make sense, does it. Oh, I am angry at them, but in order to be disappointed, I’d have to be stupid enough to believe they could change.
But the protest “leftists”? Oh no. They’re the ones I’m angry at. They’re the ones who threw this election for the Orange Shitgibbon by protest voting for Jill Stein (whose stated intent in running was to get Trump back in office) or just not voting, period. They’re the ones who spent the last eight years having “conversations” about misogyny and racism and how they intersect into misogynoir and how to be anti-racist and support Black women… And then refused to vote for the only viable candidate who was a biracial Black woman.
It’s bad enough that “leftists” can’t even pass the test when it’s that fucking easy. But it’s the endless litany of excuses that show me just how shallow their “convictions” are, and how much they care about protecting their privilege, even at the cost of marginalized lives. It’s the excuses that prove that they are, as I said on Threads a few months ago, “Nazis with a thin veneer of being progressive.”
And the excuses? Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
“Genocide is a hard line!” You know what, I agree that genocide is a hard line. You know what else I agree with? When the people currently living through a genocide tell me that Trump will be worse for them, they’re right! “Listen to marginalized voices,” apparently, comes with the caveat, “as long as they’re not saying anything I, personally, disagree with.” Excuse the fuck out of me, you do not get to speak over Palestinians like that. Either you value Palestinians’ lives and their right to not be the victims of a genocide, or you don’t. And it’s apparent you don’t, when you find a reason not to do as they say.
Or, “I need a definitive statement from Kamala on Palestine!” I, too, wish she’d taken a harder stance on Palestine.
BUT.
I also heard Trump say that “Israel needs to finish the job.” I heard Trump’s dehumanizing of Palestinians. I heard him say that he’s been on the phone with Netanyahu daily, over the last few weeks, entirely to throw the election. I heard Trump say that he’d give Israel as many weapons as they need. I saw, from 2017 to 2020, how chummy he is with Netanyahu.
What could Harris possibly have said that would be worse than any of that? What did she need to say, given everything Trump said? Could she have said anything that would have convinced you single-issue simpletons? Frankly, I don’t think so.
Kamala Harris does not need to blame herself for losing. She ran her campaign as well as she could, given how little time she had to organize it. She did everything right: She tried to appeal to voters from all sides of the spectrum (and yes, if you want to win a presidential election in this country, you have to appeal to the largest number of voters and convince them to vote for you, because I am sorry to remind you, most Americans are not leftists; they’re not even center-left, at best, they’re center-right), she tried to be as diplomatic as she could, she’s qualified, she’s served in several elected positions with a lot of success.
But it just wasn’t good enough for you, leftists. Because you can’t let go of your own internalized racism and misogyny. Because you are too smooth-brained and performative to examine your own biases. Because you looked for an excuse, any excuse, not to vote for the highly-qualified woman of color. And you made Palestinians your scapegoat.
Good job. Now Palestinians will definitely be ethnically cleansed to extinction. Which is exactly what you wanted, deep down. If you actually wanted Palestinians to live, you would have put aside your own selfish racism and misogyny to help them. And you didn’t. Because Palestinians aren’t real people to you. They’re an idea, and a convenient excuse. If Harris had won, it would be because she “courted” pro-Palestine voters. But she lost, because she “didn’t care enough about Palestine.”
You point your finger everywhere else, at everyone else. Have you ever thought of the three fingers pointing right back to you? Or am I asking too much of you, when I ask if you have the capacity to self-reflect?
And if it were just an issue of Palestinians being victims of a genocide, this election outcome would be bad enough. But oh no. No, it’s so much worse than that. The US is a house on fire, and you decided to throw gasoline on it while claiming that your neighbor’s cracked foundation was more important. (And conveniently ignored that we are the reason the foundation cracked in the first place.)
You had eighteen months to read up on Trump’s policies. You had a year to brush up on Project 2025. You had four years to listen to him talk about how the 2020 election was “stolen”. You saw him egging on a violent insurrection, designed to shake confidence in democracy and interfere with a fairly-won election. You had nine years to listen to him talk about trans people and drag queens being “groomers” and “pedophiles.” You had nine years to hear him spew hatred about immigrants, women, and disabled people. You saw him pick JD Vance, someone completely void of morals or personal convictions beyond “fuck you, got mine,” as his running mate (and almost certainly president, once Trump kicks it). You saw the people he put on the Supreme Court. You saw the people he appointed to federal judgeships. You heard him call Black people “thugs” and told police “please don’t be too gentle” with Black Lives Matter protesters. You’ve heard him call the media the “enemy of the people” for nine years. You saw him use tear gas on a group of protestors, so he could have a photoshoot where he held the Bible upside-down. You heard him call a group of white nationalists “very fine people” after they killed a peaceful counter-protester and chanted “the Jews will not replace us!” You heard him say he’d send the military after his “enemies,” aka people who don’t support him and didn’t vote for him. (And make no mistake, he will find out who voted for him and who didn’t.) You know how chummy he is with Putin, and how he’ll send aid to Russia and let them flatten Ukraine.
You heard and saw all of that, and so much more and worse.
You had an entire election cycle to remember how shit-awful his first term was.
And you still siphoned off enough of the votes for him to win. Because “Palestine.” Fuck Black people in America, right? Fuck trans people in America. Fuck women here. Fuck immigrants. Fuck indigenous Americans. Our lives are as important to you as Palestinians’; and just so we’re clear, I am not convinced that any performative leftist cares about Palestine or Palestinians beyond using them as a convenient excuse.
Seriously, what did any Palestinian person ever do to you? And why do you hate Black women so much? Fuck, why do you hate yourself that much? I thought you wanted people to value you, and I try, but how can I possibly help or love someone who refuses to help or love themselves, and then blames everyone else for their self-hatred and helplessness?
And while I’m at it: I never heard any of you talk about the genocides currently happening in Congo and Sudan. I never heard any of you talk about Boko Haram after those ten minutes in 2015. I’ve never heard any of you consider the child slaves who work in the cobalt, gold, and platinum mines, making sure the phone you spend your entire life on can work.
Gee, it’s almost like you and George W. Bush have something in common: You don’t care about Black people!
Black women told you to vote for Kamala Harris. Palestinians told you to vote for Kamala Harris. Trans people told you to vote for Kamala Harris. People who care about the future of this country, and about racial and gender equity and justice, told you to vote for Kamala Harris. None of us thought she was a perfect candidate. But we did think she was the best person for the job. But no; even the most qualified Black woman will still lose to a mediocre white man, no matter how thoroughly he’s proved his mediocrity. All because “leftists” needed to “punish” Harris for the genocide in Palestine (you do know that, as the sitting Vice President, she could not enact any policies or legislation, right?).
Gerd jorb, leftists; not only is Palestine done for, but Russia will invade Ukraine, Israel will start shit with Iran, and the whole world will be dragged into WW3. And this time, the axis of evil is Israel, Russia, and us.
Oh, I’ll still fight for your rights, never fear. I’m angry, not petty; I can think you’re a waste of perfectly good DNA and still understand that you’re a person, and whether or not I like it/you, you have certain rights, or should. But I want this to be a wake-up call for “leftists”: Your actions have consequences. You might feel good about your little tantrum now, but in a few months, when the leopards are eating all our faces and yours, I don’t want to hear one fucking word, from any of you.
