Our first Sunday in October and the sun is shining at lest in Perranporth, near to Newquay the weather wasn’t quite so bright there, and the overnight rain had dun nothing to improve the entrance to the agility field. The building machinery now working in the area had left deep ruts before the rain, up until recent rain the ruts were ok to walk along; it’s not quite the same today!

I didn’t go near the agility field, my Daughter just had Ziggy to do his thing over jumps and through the tunnels, Lola is having a rest, we are told smaller dogs need a rest now and then; not that we’ve explained it to her – it’s a Terrier thing. After last winter’s extreme wetness I think people are more sensitive to mud lying in areas you can’t avoid, I noticed just two dogs arriving for agility; Ziggy making it three!

At dusk the sun was setting just north of the gap in the trees, though that gap we see set sun set in the area during winter, we still get the sun shining on our patio but it is less each day; on one day soon the sun will go dawn in that gap and that will be our only sun in the day. From then we shall see the sun shine on the valley just beyond us.

When we find our house, it will have been walked round with a compass, just to make sure we are not without sunshine over middle winter!

Again as dusk took over to night, in the silent darkness as listened, I could hear the first drops of rain pettier patter on the patio, it seems to be wet through the night, and the morning is forecast with heavy rain! It seems we might not the workers again, not that I expect them to work in the rain! Just that they could have dun more on these dry days we’ve had.
