Saturday thoughts plus joke in blackpropaganda

The next door kids came early - and good costumes - an hour later four teenage girls - and an hour after that - three teenage girls. And that was it last night. I guess if you do not live on the road you are not going to make the effort - anyway we had enough stuff - and now I have boxes of Smarties to eat up - and packets of love hearts.
It is 50 days until the days get longer!!!
And at last we can settle down and concentrate on Strictly Come Dancing - will they wear their poppies for remembrance on their Halloween costumes - tricky one that.
By the way - I really do not see why it is necessary to wear a poppy for two weeks or so before Remembrance Sunday - actually I do know since it is a marketing exercise to get funds for the appeal - but I shall stick out for another few days. It is interesting how many people have discreet poppy badges now - not the ostentatious ones. Do they buy a new one each year? I think we should be told.
