06 Footwear OR Flatware

I got new utensils! And they’re rainbow colored! …What can I say, I like a little whimsy. The meal: Tempeh simmered in mushroom sauce, with steamed green beans, served over instant oats. …Next time, I’ll serve it over mashed potatoes or rice. (Savory oats are delicious, btw; I was just too lazy to make rice or mash.)

Oh, and my two jars of sauerkraut are in the background. I got one gallon, plus one pint, out of two heads of cabbage.

Smudge, glaring at me from the shelf above my toilet. He’s… Getting more okay with the kittens, but he’s still not thrilled that they want to play with him. (Although, I did see him kind of playing with one earlier today, so maybe he’s relaxing a bit.)
