Gloriously Shiny Poops in 2024

These children of mine are about to get sent to a boarding school in Scandinavia.
I swear they are.
All I have to do is hit “send”.

Ugh!!!
I had a hell of a day today. All I have been thinking about is coming home, turning on some mindless Netflix, snuggling with the kiddos, and chilling.
Oh and making some awesome progress on my diamond painting.

But…
Because they are MY spawns, they had a different night envisioned for us.
Obviously.

What are those, you may ask?
Why teeny, tiny diamonds all over my floor.
River decided to make my box explode and chew a couple of containers.

This child got me on my hands and knees, with a piece of double sided tape, looking like a crackhead looking for crumbs.
I got my phone in one hand, using the flashlight to look for sparkles. In the other hand is the tape. I’m digging through every fiber in the carpet.

Of course I have my windows open.

While I’m doing this, River and Albert are playing on the couch above me.
I feel Albie get on my back.
Before I could say anything, he launches himself onto the table my diamond painting is on.
He slides across taking the painting and newly recovered diamonds with him to the floor.

AW COME ON!!! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!
I yell this.
Loud.
I know the whole complex heard me.
I. Don’t. Care.
I’m so sick of not having a place to do anything.

They knew they were in super trouble. River went to the window and sat there looking out. Albie curled up on the entertainment center.

Grrrrr!!!

So guess what I’ll be doing tonight? NOT working on my diamond painting. Nope. I’ll be sorting out all these tiny little diamonds and hope I have enough left to finish the project.
Walking across my living room is like walking across a disco floor.
So shiny!

Shit, I guess I’ll keep the creatures.
I guess I’m fond of them.
Plus boarding schools are expensive.
