October 14 bits and pieces in Scott

With tongue in cheek, I say I used to fear nuclear war. As soon as I learned about it as a child about the time of the Cuban missile crisis, I feared it, I looked for it. I expected it but so far it’s never happened. I read about Hiroshima and Nagasaki and how there were some accidents that could’ve triggered a nuclear war. We have been extremely fortunate not to have exterminated ourselves yet.
Yet.

I finally got to a philosophical point where I am going to die. We are all going to die. Everything ends you can either be roadkill or fried by a giant motherfucking bomb.
You can die of cancer or some form of stupidity, and I consider nuclear war as one of those stupidities. Over and over people talk about the end of the world with nukes. Every week it seems Russia and Putin worn the world. They have nukes and they are ready to use them and know how to. OK I have been hearing this shit since at least 1963. That’s a long time to be afraid. I don’t want the world to end that way or anyway. But it would be the giant turd happening.

If I want to fear things about extermination, I can add global warming to that, but a person is fortunate if they don’t believe in that just one less thing to be concerned about. Oh yes, and the Atlantic currents are expected to stop moving in the next tomorrow to 100 years from now which we will bring on massive climate changes, including an ice age for Europe and possibly parts of the USA. Which is humanity dying from another form of stupidity.

Come to think of it when it comes to mass extinctions humanity has created scenarios that come from pure fucking stupidity.

If Trump comes to power again, if he does not cause a nuclear war mass extinction, he will accelerate global warming by saying drill baby drill and he doesn’t believe in global warming so it’s OK.

Dying from the stupidity of one person put in power or a collective of such. I am amazed that humans put some of the craziest motherfuckers in power over them over all life on earth. How brilliant are humans that we do such a thing?

The only thing that I can do to alleviate this problem is to vote for someone that is not a crazy motherfucker, and hope others will vote for the same person as well. If not a democracy hope for a coup. You are being too stupid and so we are going to remove you from power.

This bit of writing has evolved. I have gone from nuclear war to mass extinctions created by stupidity. The stupidity of humans is like a massive meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs, but that’s our way of going away. The dinosaurs did not die of stupidity. They just looked up and grunted, “oh fuck”.

So many times in my own life I almost killed myself by being stupid and doing stupid shit. It often amazes me that I survive so long by doing all that stupid stuff. Fortunately, I was never going to take anybody else with me. Oh except for those drunk driving times that I was very lucky about. In my own way I acted like collective humanity in doing stupid things that could’ve killed me just as humanity has done playing Russian roulette by putting stupid crazy motherfuckers in charge of governments.
