So this is a long haul one everyone!!!

4-6 Vanilla beans Per 1 cup of alcohol.
Im using Rum seeing I was gifted some bacardi at work and I dont drink lmao!! I went to the liqour store and grabbed another bottle of vanilla spiced rum and then the straight rum.  Ive also been told vodka works well.   Rum changes the flavor profile slightly.

In each quart jar:

Slice vanilla beans lengthwise. I did about 25 per jar.

Fill to the top with your alcohol.

Shake well

Put in storage and shake every week or two.

Minimum of 8 weeks. But aging 6 months or longer is more ideal.

I also am reading on how to do a heated waterbath to speed along the process. I may try it!
