My husband and I are interested in herbal remedies and foraging. We have decided our first 2 experiments are going to be making flour from acorns and Sprite from pine needles. After that we plan to make fire cider. Fire cider is a medication that is an immunity booster that fights illness. That’s why I am collecting acorns. We plan to bake bread from acorns to see what it taste like. We also want to try using the acorn flour for pancakes.

Are you using any type of guidebook or online guide Make sure to check thoroughly for holes or you will be eating worms What kind of oak trees do you have in your area The taste of the acorn can vary slightly depending on the tree it comes from Also what kind of grinder are you using to make the flour I had some relatives who did this sort of thing when I was little and I think they made cookies using the flour

Aside from acorns, have you ever tried canning food? It’s really easy and can help you save money. You just need to be careful and seal the containers properly, or you could risk botulism, which can be fatal
