And now, a song from the heart:
My roommate is a big fat cow. The biggest cow in the whole wide world. She’s a lazy cow, a crazy cow, she is such a stupid cow. My roommate is a cow she is such a stupid cow.

She is a toxic Taurus. We know that. I have nothing new to say. She wanted to come out with me today and then decided that she would stay in and ruminate instead. Society gives us the script that we are supposed to feel compassion for everyone. I’ve hit my limit on that, officially. She is almost a 40-year-old woman. We are a little old to still be emotionally dysregulated children. My trigger today was the same old thing as every Saturday. Except, now she thinks we have an understanding so she isn’t hiding in her room while I clean the apartment. Get your life right and open a Bible.

Brene Brown! What is so wrong with shame?! If we don’t have shame, we don’t have self-awareness. We can’t see how our behavior affects others if we are shameless. Worse than that, this compassion entitlement is feeding them a victim narrative. Like when you tell a child to clean their room and they throw a fit because they don’t want to be told what to do. They don’t want society to nag at them. Now we are all stupid cows who keep doing things that go against our best interests because we failed to cultivate a strong value system. You value being obese more than you value a healthy lifestyle. If you wanted it bad enough, you would find a way. No crackhead has ever woken up and let anything stop them. They find a way. I’m a crackhead for positive choices. I want to be around people who actually want to change. That is the energy I want to be around. That is the synergy I want. Not losers. I can give grace to younger folks but once you’re thirty… fuck you! Get it together. I’m not here to coddle them anymore. I will meet them toxic advice, toxic positivity and toxic optimism from now on. Reminding them that their suffering is a choice (within reason, of course). So my pet cow is choosing to ruminate today. She can enjoy her pity party. I’m out.
