Ok this is my first try on home made granola.
(Honestly a lot of the recipes I post here, its the first time I make them lmao!)
But tony eats this silly expensive granola so i thought what the fuck ill try it out.
Recipe.
3 cups whole oats.
1 cup sliced almonds
Combine in a bowl.
In a smaller bowl combine
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup local honey ( or whatever honey I guess, local is good because of the histamines.
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons vanilla.
dash of salt
Heat your liquids in the microwave for about 30 seconds. This melts the coconut oil and thins out the honey so its easier to spread.
Mix until well combined.
Spread a thin ish layer onto a pain lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle the top with extra honey ( if you want)
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until its crispy, stirring half way through. If it dosent feel crispy through, heat a bit more.
Allow to cool fully in the baking dish before crumbling into a canning jar or other storage jar.
For use on top of yogurt, ice cream or by the handful as a snack.
Ill let you know how he likes it and if I need to tweek the recipe.
I saw some with mixed nuts, coconut, chocolate chips, dried fruit, frosted top, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and more. Lets see how he likes the basic Almond and Honey. At least its not 16 dollars a bag for this!
