Surgery in Talk Story

Aloha…

I finally had the procedure to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my back…

My procedure went well this morning… the doctor gave me a choice of doing an incision… then stitching it up afterward…

Or…

Scraping it…

I chose the latter…

What he didn’t tell me is that it really isn’t scraping… more of scooping… you know with an instrument like a melon-baller… sharp as a razor… then cauterizing it several times during the procedure… leaving quite a large indentation (hole) in my back…

Well… too late to change it now (cause of course the procedure is over)…

Not painful at all… other than the emotions one feels knowing what is happening…

This getting older is not as much fun as I thought it would be…
