Rainy Day in Hello

It’s been very peaceful today.
Got up a little after six.
Made breakfast.
Did two loads of laundry.
Got an Icee 😁
Between all that I relaxed and read after being busy all week.

It rained all morning and the first part of the afternoon. It was very nice and very needed. Scattered storms all weekend and I look forward to it. Got to slosh around barefoot in a big puddle that forms in a depression on my sidewalk. Feeling the raindrops on my shaved head…freedom…

We got Rose’s fur clumps shaved yesterday. She looked so big, being a Maine Coon and all, but now she seems so skinny with that fur gone. She hid the rest of yesterday but has come around today with a healthy appetite. She did bow her head a bit and let me pet her when I slowly gave her my hand so that’s a plus as well.

I’m about to go lie down. My neck started hurting early this afternoon on the right side and now I can feel it all over the back and it’s creeped into my skull and has given me a headache. No idea how I got a crick in my neck but it bloody sucks now.

Nearly finished with The Stand.
Little over a hundred or so pages left.
Still slow as fuck.
Swan Song is definitely better.
