Again, just the opinion of an outsider Aussie here. I wonder how I’d feel if I were American, but I think most of the people I read here are, so it’s cool seeing different views. I don’t actually think I read many entries that are that pro-Trumpet, but that’s probably because I avoid them. I mean, I wouldn’t exactly say I’m pro Biden either. I don’t vote for either of the major parties in my country. Never have, probably never will.

I keep thinking I’m a little bit like Switzerland in the sense that I don’t really know what to believe when it comes to Trumper’s assassination attempt. But Lordy, everyone else sure has a solid opinion on it. Reddit is so many people attacking each other’s views on it - calling people idiots for believing it was staged. I mean, when I look at how it seemed to (alledgedly) unfold, it could be credible. And Trumpers was in Home Alone 2, and The Apprentice, so we all know he’s an actor. Those photo’s of him are near perfection. Even the front page of our newspaper here has the clear photo of the bullet flying past his head. Couldn’t have been a better photo of something flying as lightning speed through the air. Then who raises their fist and yells “Fight!”?
I suppose when you’re a president/ex-president and know the USA’s history, the scenario has more than likely run through your head, especially when guns seem to be handed out like candy.
People were commenting that the shooter was able to buy a gun, but not buy alcohol, as he was only 20. Then there’s the videos of people at the rally filming the shooter crawling on the roof so people knew he was there and up to no good. I mean, things that make you go mmm, right?
I mean, if it was staged, then they’ve done a damn pretty good job of it. Kudos, really. But we also know that an innocent person died, and the shooter was killed, naturally. What a nutter. A person died all for a staged assassination attempt? Man, it’s so shit not having the truth. We can only go by what we see, and hear, in the end. And that seemed like a real attempt on his life to me. But I have to wonder.
Then we see Trumpers on his golf buggy the next day. Man, the guy’s got some balls. Either that or he doesn’t care and is mentally strong. My mentality wouldn’t allow me to leave the house after a traumatic event like that, let alone going to hit some balls in a wide open space the day after. But that’s just me.

A couple of the videos on here are helping me get a bit more of a clearer picture

I had to laugh this morning - there was some national republican convention on the TV that was showing and whoever was talking was slamming the democrats and saying that biological men and children are being “indoctrinated” and a whole heap of other spin, and then his speech ended and they started playing “YMCA” over the speakers. I had to turn it off as it just seemed so cult-y. But their choice of song is what made me laugh.
