We Had A Lovely Day Off Yesterday! in WEEEE!

Hubby and I had arranged with Julie, who is the head of his writing group to have off Friday 5th July from work. There was 10 of us, all aged 50+ with 3 in their 80’s and 90s and we all jumped on the 9:10am bus to Sedbergh, Cumbria. We’re in Cumbria anyway so it was a lovely trip of about 25.4 miles each way.

We had the same driver on both trips and it only cost us two £8.00 fares for there and back.

Once we off-loaded at the library hubby and I went our own way and Julie and Mandy led the elderly/slow in a group.

It’s a lovely little place and quite small so we all knew to meet up at The Black Bull Inn at 12 for dinner then had another plod around until just after 3pm for the return trip.

Most of us hunted down books so merrily trotted around and we ended up at Westwood Books. where we could have spent hours … and several pounds .... in there as they have well over 70,000 books on 2 huge floors!
