weekend kicks in Bittersweet

We went to bed late. Finishing stranger things. With the intent to get up early and go to a state park we saw a few years ago but have never been.
At 2 pm the dogs were barking so the kids them outside… at 230 they went to let them in… They had been sprayed by a skunk. Specifically my old fat girl, My pit rot. Oh my god. They let her in and she bolted through the house shaking her head on shit… I woke up to the screaming.
At 2 30 am we were bathing the dog outside in simple green and dog shampoo while they howled. One kid is mopping the floors, another was picking up clothes. Everyone is crying. Most of all me outside cleaning up the damn dog.
At 3 30 i moved the parrots into my bathroom because it smelled less. We had doors open, fans on. spraying to clean up the smell. Mess. Had to take showers in order to clean the smell off of us from washing the dogs!
We went to sleep.
Got up this morning and I went to the dollar store. I got peroxide and eye drops. I read that getting sprayed in the face gets issues with their eyes. Then mix peroxide and baking soda and wash them with that to neutralize the enzymes. So I was washing her AGAIN this morning. T was still asleep. He was so pissed last night screaming at everyone for letting the dogs out at night.
Washed the dog. Mopped with straight up vinegar. Took another shower. Ugh.
T got up when I got out, he got the kids up. We tried to make lunch for our drive. Decided instead to just go buy some lunchmeat and cheese and make sandwiches. Got sodas.
Left the wet dogs in the yard and went to the canyon. That went well actually. It was nice. We walked for a bit and then headed home. Stopped by the mall to get L some new shoes. HIs were too tight. Realized A’s were too tight too! L got hiking boots. Poor kid has big fat feet. size 12 Wide. Its hard to find any that fit well for a decent price considering hes a kid… A wanted 120$ sketchers. I said no. She was teary about it. Went to JC penny and found a pair of shoes on sale for 15 from 65! The whole brand was on sale. Perfect. She loves them. Shiny and electric colors. The sketchers were black with rainbow piping.
I bought a linen skirt they had on sale. I love it lol. Its beige ( of course ) fit n flare from my waist with a semi circle hem. Really cozy and moves super well with me. Its also a shape that flatters my non excitant figure. stupid wide waistline… I’m a rectangle.

Got home and realized the skunk smell isnt TOO strong in the house. Its still here but not TOO bad now. I keep getting whiffs all day long of skunk. No idea what it is on. All of the clothes everyone was wearing went in the wash with vinegar and havent come out yet. Dogs have been outside. Hell we were 100 miles from home and kept smelling it now and again. :( I sure hope no one else smells it on me. That its just like up my nose or whatever.

I have gained some weight over the last few months. Up about 7 lbs from my all time low :( Sadness.
However today my rings are fitting really loose. Its weird how loose they feel. Normally my fingers swell with the heat and walking. But not today.
N texted and said she wont be in tomorrow. I asked if she was ok, she dosent normally miss. she said yeah kinda but didnt respond after that. I guess Ill have to wait to figure out what is up. I half feel like hes looking for another job. She moved 40 miles away and its a long commute even though we gave her a remote day. Still. 4 days a week its a long drive. I figure its a matter of time. It would be for me lol. 20 minutes one way is a lot for me now.
Im so tired. I need like 10 hours of sleep. Its not happening lol. But I need it.

Oh My bird has been loosing her feathers so badly. I thought she was molting at first. Then i thought my boy was plucking her. Finally I talked to some people who said she was getting sick. Then my friend had a bird and shes like what are you feeding. I told her. She said OH SHIT. Her bird was on the same food and did the same thing. Lost ALL her head feathers!! The food has more sugar then they should have! So she suggested this food her vet told her to get. I got the food and my birds spent HOURS eating it. Literally my birds weigh 1.9 oz each ( not joking, i weigh them lmao) And they eat like a tablespoon a day! They easily ate two tablespoons of food in one sitting each! Since I got it they have been eating WAY more food then they were. They are eating MORE veggies, more pellets and drinking more water! I got them separated and in two cages now so they cant pluck each other or groom. They are side by side and sleep side by side in their different cages now. Its taking up a ton of my space, but I nee to see Rosemary’s feathers grow back before they can cuddle up again. Plus it ends the bird fornication we have been watching for the last two months of conure mating season.

So yeah that was fun.
I think i need to go pick up a cute shirt to go with my linen skirt.
Tomorrow im getting my pellet put in. Oh man. A skirt may be hard to do it? Its a hip incision… Nah. It will be fine Just cant pull it down. Its a belted skirt. So have to pull it up. Then ill have compression shorts under it. Perfect for an incision. Anyway. I get that done at 10. So ill go to work, do my am, then get my hormones, then go back to work. I wont have N to walk with. That’s a bummer. But I need to walk carefully after the incision anyway. No swimming, no exercising for a week. I walk and that is ok. But probably not good to go for a 2 mile walk hours after it goes in haha. Skin has to heal over it. Hopefully I dont have issues numbing like I did last time. That wasnt cool. It took 2 weeks to heal from the bruising.
They want me to see the prescribing doctor tomorrow. I normally just see the nurse. The hormone therapy is working very weird on me…

Ok i should get going. I need to figure out my day tomorrow and I REALLY hope nothing smells like skunk. :(
