Thank you for understanding how I was feeling when I wrote my previous entry. My feelings were honest and valid, but I have snapped out of it. The family Zoom gathering was so much fun and it satisfied my need for family and holiday socialization. I think everybody really enjoyed it.
Then Brian and I had a fabulous prime rib dinner.
It’s early now, on Christmas morning. He is still sleeping (of course). I am in bed with Josie and my laptop, and a cup of coffee. With a tiny bit of brandy in it. It’s Christmas!
Later we will open gifts – we each bought one gift for the other. I’m looking forward to seeing his reaction to the 2nd screen I got him for his laptop. He was envious when he saw the one I have for work. I have no clue what he is giving to me.
There’s a football game on today – the Chiefs, I believe; we are as tired of seeing them play as we used to be of the Patriots. But, whatever. Then we will head over to S&D’s.
I need to go plug in my Love Light because my sisters will open their gifts this morning, and possibly set up their lights and my lamp will light up when they use theirs.
There won’t be much in the way of gifts with the family, as we adults decided not to exchange gifts, due to the very expensive holiday we are going on in a few days. I do have a family gift for them though, that I bought on sale back in the summer – a Pampered Chef popcorn maker, because I love mine so much. It makes the best popcorn I’ve ever made at home. Along with the popcorn maker there is a gift box containing different kinds of kernels, and seasonings. I have two gifts for Addi. And a gift for Maple!
The afternoon and early evening will be spent with the family/holiday vibe I was missing yesterday.
I really appreciate you – my friends who are reading this – who support me and sometimes guide me or enlighten me. Thank you! Wishing each of you, and your families, a very Merry Christmas or a Happy Hanukkah, whatever the case may be!
