Have a misty sunrise on me.
Here I am.
Yesterday I had two local medical appointments.
I had my pre-June 11 checkup blood test.
Before the end of the day I had my result.
A1C 6.5. I was hoping for something under 6 but I guess I’ll live with it. Ha ha.
I looked up my results from February 2021 when I got diagnosed with the big D.
2-21 — 10.1
6-21 —5.6
10-21—5.4
6-22—5.5
12-22—5.4
5-23—6.3
12-23—6.6
6-24—6.5
I think the jump from the 5’s to the 6’s came when my metformin was cut from 2000 mg to 1000 mg. I wonder if I should ask the doc about going back to the higher dose. I’m sure not asking you guys to give opinions. I’m just playing mind games here.
Another thing - I kinda wish my records from that time period included my weight. When my A1C was going down, I was losing weight. AND while it went up I was gaining weight. I’m not sure life is as simple as how much I weigh. But maybe life is as simple as how much I weigh.
Oh yeah, my other appointment was with the eye doc who said my eyes were ok.
I’ll come back later with a bushel of cheerfulness.
I promise.

No opinions from me!
Glad your eyes are okay. (And I think 6.5 isn't so bad!)

I need to learn more about diabetes. I don't know what good numbers are either. Stay well,

between 4.0 and 5.6 according to the doc's web site.

I listen to everything my doctor says until he tells me I that he thinks I need to cut down on the coffee, then I tune him out. ☕️

I feel lucky to get anything under 7 these days.

That is an amazing photo...such a beautiful and interesting view. I'm trying to remember...is that a black walnut tree? Don't forget the roses.

Yes, I meant to identify - Esther Hall Keenan.
I will remember the roses.
