Co-dependance in Stuff

Its 4am, and I just awoke. So strange waking up at times when I’m normally forcing myself to go to sleep haha. Good thing is, it’s a night off (so far) and I can do stuff today, but I know since I’m awake so early, that I’ll get tired around mid-afternoon, and it’s a bit annoying if my manager asks me to work because I’ll feel like I’ll need to get a nap in before I go there to do the shift. I know me so well.
I’m a bit concerned about how co-dependent my friend Vish is. He is back, finalizing some stuff due to him and his boyfriend’s sudden move to NSW, before he goes back himself. It’s been two days and he’s already texting me how much he misses his boyfriend. This isn’t the first time - he’s constantly gotten down about his boyfriend being away for not even a day before.
Geez, I just wanna slap him. As good of a couple as I think they are for each other, I think it’s pretty ridiculous how much he seems to rely on his boyfriend always being around. Where’s his sense of individuality?? Drives me nuts sometimes. It makes me think that if something ever happened between the two of them, he’ll be a complete and utter unconsolable mess.
I know this makes me sound like a heartless bitch, but I’m not really. I’m just kinda over hearing all the time, ‘I miss him’ and me being like ‘You’ll be together soon’ and blah blah fucking blah.
I’d like to think that when I get into another relationship that I can still do things on my own and not smother or be smothered and trust and be trusted by my partner.
Maybe I’ve seen single for such a long time that I’m becoming an angry green hulk, snapping at anything couple-y around me :P
I’ve decided that I’m going to start doing my grocery shopping a little later in the week, to try and play the reward card companies as much as they do me. As in, I’ve noticed a pattern every so often, where if I haven’t shopped on my usual day, I’ll receive an email offering me a certain amount of reward points, obviously to entice me back into the store. If I shop on my usual day, that email never arrives, so why not score a hell of a lot of points by delaying my shopping for a few days, making them think I’m shopping elsewhere? I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.
Anyway, this is the thrilling stuff on my mind at 4am.
