The Sound Of Machines Reminds Me Of Angry Humans in Reflection’s

That occurred to me today. One of many reasons I do not like machine noise. I operated loud machines for over 40 years. I have done much work with LOUD MACHINES. They remind me now of so many angry humans. Take it easy! You do not have to be so angry!

I own a battery-operated lawn mower - and other such machines. Battery operated makes the anger sound more like just Irritated. That’s ok lawn and mower. I know you sound a bit irritated but it’s better than full blown gas or diesel exhaust anger. I operated insanely loud wood working machines for many years and it was like the machines were screaming! When I operated machines now or hear them I wonder about their mood. My refrigerator sounds like it has digestive issues. My computer and TV are more neutral or mildly grumpy when turned on. Or like humans, a little bit excited when turned on ;-)

It makes sense to me now why I often reach for noise canceling headphones. Block out the anger!

I recently read a psych article about how the majority of people that purposely make their vehicles loud are emotionally aggressive people. They like that anger that reflects what is inside themselves. They like to bully with noise.
