Feet and splits! in blackpropaganda

Well, we survived the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo - not without wind and rain but not as bad as some places - and luckily the public transport was going fine so I was able to go to the city to have my feet assessed.

I have worn supports in my shoes for ages to hold up my arches - in fact the ones I use I over 10 years old. It seems now I need to have heel supports because both heels move to the left and right when I walk. I was looked at walking, tried out with the supports recommended - then moulds of my feet were taken. In three weeks I should have the new supports back - they use laser measures etc, etc and I should not be rolling over and putting pressure on my toes as a walk. It is not cheap but well worth it if it helps me to continue to walk in comfort.

There is so much to do because we are off on our travels tomorrow - it seems like we are never home - but we shall be in the bosoms of our family for some of the time! At least the weather should be no more than breezy and rainy.

And while away yesterday I checked my mail on the phone and had one from a friend in Spain who keeps an eye on our place while we are here. The title was enough - Split - and yes they were splitting up - and she included the e mail from her husband to her which told her about another woman. All very unfortunate - but not really a surprise - she has been spending more time in the UK - and it seemed they were not really in communication. Still, a bit of a shock - the first thought being - hey, I hope he will still look after our place!!!

One of the big problems with ex-pats in Spain is doing things - and one issue is often having a drinking problem - in the sunshine it is just too easy to get into that life style - and people are in each others’ pockets - and bang - some shagging can take place. Anyway - that never happens when we are there!

I was going to write more - but I can’t remember what!
