Under the Dome – Season Two Finale (9/22/14)

I have taken to live tweeting a lot during Under the Dome. I am the only person in my circle who watches, so I am left to twitter to express my views & ponderings. Here is last night’s ponderings.

• This is sort of like a #Superman moment. #UnderTheDome (this was after a farmer got caught under a piece of equipment & Barbie (not Clark Kent) was trying to lift the equipment off of said farmer. It reminded me of the opening of Smallville (which I never actually watched).

• I’m sure Becky can get her students to make an MRI. #UnderTheDomeSeasonFinale (this was after Uncle Flack|Sam told Big Jim that he can’t operate on Dr. Shepherd|Pauline without an MRI – not you know because he is not a fucking doctor, let alone a surgeon. Also, Becky had the high school students to make a ginormous generator/windmill hybrid).

• How the hell do they still have morphine & no hospital? #UnderTheDome (This was after Jr. asked if they could give Dr. Shepherd something for the pain. They have no insulin or other medical supplies really but they conveniently have a vial of morphine)

• I think I would rather die of a morphine overdose than painfully bleeding. But #BeckyKnowsBest #UnderTheDome (this is after they told Jr. they don’t want to risk giving Dr. Shepherd too much morphine. But couldn’t she calculate Dr. Shepherd’s body weight & do the math as to how much and how often the dying doctor could have morphine?)

• I wonder what kind of product Barbie uses in his hair. #PerfectlyStyled #UnderTheDome (this was after I noticed how perfectly coifed Barbie’s hair was considering he has been in non-stop mode trying to find a way out of the Dome)

• They can’t get WiFi, but the walkie talkies still work & don’t ever need to be charged. #UnderTheDome (Uncle Flack|Sam, Barbie, Julia, et al, have walkie-talkies that they are able to use no matter what end of town they are on without problem, but they have to induce some voodoo to get a wifi signal)

• Hell is what Norrie has to look forward to. Because she is a Mega Snatchy Bitch. #UnderTheDome (this was after Norrie wondered what they had to look forward to. Also after she mentioned that ANYWHERE was better than Under the Dome, so therefor, Hell would be preferable to being in Chester’s Mill)

• Jesus. Boot camp for knocking some chick’s tooth out? #UnderTheDome (This was after Norrie explained why she was on her way to Boot Camp on the other side of the fucking country. She’s from LA, popped one chick in the face, knocking out a tooth because said chick made fun of her hair. That seems pretty harsh for an incident like that. Around these parts, you get a couple days of in-school suspension – maybe a couple days of out of school depending on your history as a delinquent. I thought it would be darker than that. I thought maybe she shanked a bitch or something.)

• Couldn’t Dr. Shepherd walk them through fixing her? #UnderTheDome #ER #YesIWentThere (This was after Becky & the Dr. Susan talked about how the doctor was dying and was okay with it.)

• That kid just watched his dad literally fry & now he is a bus monitor? Julia runs a tight ship #UnderTheDome (this was after Julia asked Aiden (the boy whose father was electrocuted under farm equipment) to make sure everyone got on the bus. Fuck lady, his dad just died, maybe a hug is in order)

• Remember when the Dome wanted Big Jim to bight the Big One? #UnderTheDome (This was probably after Big Jim took a BFH to Becky’s head because she dosed Dr. Shepherd (his wife) with the rest of the morphine & she stupidly & literally showed her hand in Susan’s death) (Actually it was after Big Jim told Dr. Shepherd the Dome wanted her to live & wanted them to be together)

• Well Big Dick rises again. #UnderTheDome (this was definitely after Big Jim & the BFH incident)

• Pretty sure Big Jim has always been a touch crazy there Flack. #UnderTheDome #CSINY (this was after Uncle Flack told Jr. that Big Jim went off the reservation)

• Even Jesus got longer than three seconds to turn water into wine there Big Jim. #UnderTheDome #BeatTheClock #LetsMakeADeal (this was after Big Jim gave the Dome three seconds to bring back Dr. Shepherd or he would start murdering people the Dome “loves”)

• Look it’s #FireStarter #UnderTheDome (this was after Big Jim set fire to Dr. Shepherd’s studio. I should have used a #Backdraft reference)

• Uh, Barbie, it’s not that you are a stranger, it’s that you are a hired hitman. You killed the town doctor. #UnderTheDome (This was after Barbie postulated that the people were not trusting him because he is a stranger to them)

• Before they had to Mario over that crack, but now it’s a simple step over the crack. #UnderTheDome (this was after Joe & Norrie & GeekSquad had jumped over the crack in the crater & when they went back, just casually stepped over it. See I used a Mario/Nintendo reference)

• Was Julia the smartest choice for Monarch Homecoming Queen? #UnderTheDome (this was after she walked into Andrea’s house without any sort of backup & watched Big Jim pop a cap in Andi’s head & then proceed to knock her around a bit. Credit is given to her grabbing the knife & using it to stab BJ in the foot. PSA: Ladies, always go for the groin or upper thigh when trying to fight off a crazy asshat while trapped under a huge dome. Also, if the opportunity arises to hang the fucker before he has the opportunity to ruin everything, to puss out)

• Maybe someone should have grabbed a plank of would to make a “bridge”. #UnderTheDome (First, I spelled wood wrong, but I was a bit delirious at this point & eating so… Seriously though, nobody thought when they went up for air, I’m looking at you Barbie & everyone else who could have yelled up to the others to grab a piece of wood to make a bridge over the fucking crack in the crater. The crack that grew & left Julia & Jr (who had shot Big Jim in the shoulder, what a waste of a bullet if you aren’t going to hit something vital) on the other side)

• I thought Papa Barbie was going to get into the Dome. What happened there? #UnderTheDome (This was after I remembered that Barbie’s daddy was supposed to bring the egg back into the Dome by going through the red door. He was on his way and then he never showed up)

• What the actual fuck was that? #UnderTheDome (this basically sums up the entire season)

• Uncle Flack|Sam refers to the actor who plays Uncle Sam or just Sam as he also played Detective Flack on CSI NY

** Dr. Susan Shepherd refers to the actress playing Pauline as she was Dr. Shepherd on ER

I like to make the crossover references & some people actually get it.
