They started footers on my foundation! The bonus fam and I went to take a trip to check it out on Monday. We paid for our water lines/ meters at the water company. It felt so good because for once we didn’t have to pay for shit, this was up to our manufactured home place to pay for.

We brought the bonus kids with because they didn’t have school Monday. It’s getting more and more real now that they see the foundations but they all have mixed feelings about moving. We are going to keep driving back there maybe once a week or every other week to monitor the progress.

We met one of our neighbors. He was outside with his friends doing yardwork and feeding the cows. He says the cows are his friends cows not his. They are allowed to graze in his backyard. At some point, his friend may approach us and ask if the cows can eat the grass on the back portion of our property. We won’t be using a lot of that space back there for quite awhile so we will most definitely let the grass puppies go to town back there. He said he built his house in 2004 and paid 170k for it. No way in hell you could do that today for that money.

He said when he saw the foundations being poured he thought that it was someone building a huge house and a garage, but then he realized it was 2 separate lots. And he was curious if we were family or sisters or something. We told him our story or at least the basics. That this has been a dream of ours for a long time. And that we definitely appreciate the peace and quiet. He said we def came to the right place for that. We also found out that he owns the property next to his on the other side, and there is a double wide on there being rented out to people that own the “Chihuahua Mafia” as he referred to them and it almost had me on the ground laughing. I guess animal control was already called on them. These dogs have been nothing but annoying and I can see them being a problem in the future just roaming onto our property whenever they want to. These people have no less than 10 little dogs that they let out and roam everywhere. They spend a lot of time roaming onto his property and the cow pasture across the street as well as peoples lots several doors down.

He also pointed to a few spots on my land where water is going to pool. I will most likely put my driveway more toward the center line of the property.

Today I had to buy the other septic permit since we were told the one that the original owner purchased is null and void thanks to the land spilt. So now we will be waiting for further directions on what to do when it comes to those.
