keep pushing in poetry

I’m tired
you’re tired
he’s tired
she’s tired
they’re tired
we’re tired
in fact, to tell the truth
I am fucking exhausted
and if you’d tell the truth
you’re exhausted too

keep pushing
but keep pushing
but we all keep pushing
because if we all keep pushing
eventually something will change
or failing that we’ll die pushing
and either way
things will be different
and that’s all that matters
when you’re tired
you’re so very tired
and I myself am
fucking exhausted
