I have Not Been Feeling Prosey in My New Life

Things are good. I am enjoying an easier semester with a Psych course. Humanities always
came more naturally for me.

I am back working my 2nd job as a server at a Hibachi joint. My boss left all my things where I had left them. She even gave me a raise the 2nd day I was back. The money is pretty good and I am appreciated there. My conditions were that I was not to work with the problem kid anymore (I say “kid” but he is a 25 year old still suckling his mother, hanging around stalking waitresses). He got a 2nd job anyway and is only there one day a week so that worked out well. Plus it played a part in her giving me a .75 cent raise on top of my tips. So, I’ll be working nearly 60 hour weeks between both jobs and they are not back breaking work which is nice change. I’ve finally embraced my intelligence rather than trying to “prove my manliness” by doing grunt work. Let the idiots dig the holes, I’ll do the book work and math.

I’ve gotten into a series recently that is a nice change. I read the first two novels in the Three-Body Problem series. Now, they are making a TV series out of it. It’s pretty good especially if you have read the books and know your way around the science lab and whiteboard. And so now I am finishing the book series and watching it from the beginning. That is rewarding.
