more lou reed than dylan thomas
in the balance of my feeling
let’s not mourn the death of light
let’s set the twilight reeling

let us
crowd out the emptiness with jubilation
let’s
obliterate oblivion with the power of our voices
let us
scream that bastard absence away
fill the world
with words instead of somber silence
illuminate from floor to ceiling
no time to feign the morning’s death
let’s set the twilight reeling
