What is your favorite holiday? I’ll second NegraLuna with Halloween. When I was a youngster, it was Christmas, followed by Halloween.

Do you send out Christmas cards? Immediate family; others on my mailing list if I have current addresses and get around to it.

How soon do you start shopping? Depends… only person I shop for is my niece. After all, it’s an uncle’s job to spoil his niece rotten, no?

Who do you shop for? My niece.

Do you put up a Christmas tree? No.

If so, real or fake? In my parents’ house, it was always real, a few times live, most often, cut.

Do you like tinsel? Sure.

Do you put up Christmas lights outside of your house? At my parents’ house, yes. Myself, no.

Is there a wreath hanging on your door? No.

What are your favorite Christmas movie? It seems to me, One Magic Christmas.

What are your favorite Christmas song? Mmmm,… off the top of my head, “Rudolph the Red-nose Reindeer”.

Eggnog or cider? Both.

Ham or turkey? Turkey for Christmas Day dinner; goose for Christmas Eve dinner, both at my parents’ house.

White lights or colored lights? Colored, please.

Blinking lights or still? Still.

Were you naughty or nice this year? I try for both. ;)

When do you open your gifts? I generally don’t ask for gifts beyond cards and/or letters, as I don’t need more STUFF.

Do you like wrapping gifts? Not particularly.

Do you put change in those red buckets? Every so often. Oftentimes the bell-ringers are borderline homeless, and they split the contents of the kettles with the Salvation Army. Been homeless myself, so I help out when possible.

Do you bake cookies? No.

Have you ever been kissed under the mistletoe? No. :(

Do you go to Christmas parties? If I get enough notice and invited… but it’s been years.

Do you go caroling? No.

Have you ever had a white Christmas? Every Christmas here in Fairbanks at 65° north latitude is a “white Christmas”.

Do you exchange gifts with your spouse or significant other? No spouse, no significant other. :(

Do you buy your pets presents? What pets? Love to have one/some dogs… but landlord says “no”.
