Rerailing a locomotive in Tales of the Jointed Track

Well, it happens time to time. compromised track … ties.. well we all have been there as railroaders

This is not on the line I worked, but it gives you an idea. The engineer re-railing this, I would have revved it at notch three and feathered with an independent brake. But that’s how I was taught, so I digress. Other than that he did a great job. The old dork will give him a B plus. You could even get another notch and make it work. There is a lot of resistance getting it up. Every re-railing poses it’s own type of circumstance. The guy in the white pants…probably a trainmaster…lol like he knows what is needed, but a Company officer presence. Did he get dirty ....? NOOOOO . I wasn’t there, didn’t know the crew, or the MOW people, but have been there. :)
