Was it a movie? Was it a documentary? Were there actors or the people whose lives were described? I am still not sure.

This movie, based on the book, “Son of Hamas” is about the role the son of one of Hamas’s leaders played in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s in Palestine. He was captured by the Israeli forces and put in jail. Then he was “turned”.

The movie is mostly the monologues of the young Palestinian and his Shin Bet “handler”. There is also a lot of footage - green light, from helicopters, etc. - of what was going on.

It was gripping. He is now in the USA. The government tried to stop his acceptance into the country - even though he’d have been killed if he returned to the Middle East - but was eventually swayed. NOW, I have to read this book he wrote!
