An abundance of riches!!! It IS harvest season, so it’s not surprising.

When I work in Brooklyn, I get the chance both Tuesday and Thursday, to walk through the farmers’ market to get to work… well, I arrange it that way.

First stop - one of the bakery sites. I got my kasha knishes. Maybe it’s an acquired taste, but I love them. I am avoiding the sugary snacks.

Then on to the vegetable stands: I bought the Asian eggplant - the long narrow ones; I bought bok choy… hmm Asian food in my future? I also got yellow cauliflower. They charged the same amount for the small ones as for the large ones - that’s not FAIR! I got two kinds of summer squash. That’ll do me for a few days at least.

First to be cooked when I got home was one of the tiny cauliflowers - I just steamed it for 5 minutes, added oil and vinegar and “went to town”!
