post-modern love in poetry

hey there hipster lady
can’t you at least date me
ironically?

you could
tell your friends
I’m so bad that I’m good
when we go into your gentrified hood
to drink Hi-C Ecto Cooler
and eat mac and cheese made with brie?

I could wear you on my face
the way you wear a trucker hat
while you ride upon
my intentionally-scraggly mustache
how perfect it would be
if you could love me
ironically

I’d love you for real
no matter your agenda
I’m lonely
we could make a deal
