the lull after the party in Hi This is Kat!

The party was a huge success. Such a great blend of personalities in one house was the best combo yet. There was 10 of us 3 friends could not come. I prefer small parties like this because everyone gets to mingle better.

My house is laid out well for entertaining.... large open rooms the dinning room opens to the family and then to the sunroom and the family room joins the kitchen.
I bought everyone bath and body works lotion as a gift… I am finding more and more that many people do not get much christmas so this party has become very important to them. One lady has no close family, jo just does not do christmas because she is too involved in the bottle, one lady is divorced and has one grown daughter no grand kids so their christmas is like any other day she claims… so this party is the closest thing to a big Christmas… and I can tell they all love it! I had surprise gifts… for a few key things… person who put of the goofy christmas glasses, the person who said hohoho first, the person who traveled the farthest… t just made it even more fun!

Jo drank A LOT! She came in packing a large beer… she bought champagne and another liquor for the orange juice. Only 2 people had a drink and she drank the rest of both bottles! She also drank another beer.... I supplied no alcohol because I know she will drink EVERYTHING in the house.
BUT she had fun!

I made two breakfast casseroles, two quiches, two bowls of fruit and berries, cream cheese and topping with crackers and candy.... they are almost everything but a bit of the casserole… Mark finished it last night

It is important to me to do special things to make people happy. The world needs more happiness.
