And last night’s shift was perfect. The rightful supervisor of the Ward was back in place, and it’s a dream job again. He and I have had our differences before and arguments, but that is just how men feel each other out. We get over it. We continue on, and we don’t allow what has happened in the past sour our shift of today.
W_ is actually one of the Lead Supervisors, but you wouldn’t know it by the way the nightmare co-worker acts when he is away. She acts like she is the only important supervisors. I was actually shocked to find out he was over her head. By her demeanor vs. his one would think he was at the bottom rung. He makes it a real work environment somewhere you would want to be. She makes it a daily party in honor of herself by herself. And if you don’t participate in her party you are put on the naughty list.
He’s a rough sort. You can tell he grew-up on the other side of the tracks. He doesn’t show many emotions other than anger and “manly” sentiment. But, when you work with someone like that, many times, I see an absentee father in his life, or one that may have beat him if he showed any emotions other than toughness. He’s held that job down for over 17 years, which I respect. And it was like finding him in a dungeon being gaslighted by S_’s “group” of what she would believe as “real adults”. Jesus Christ, I am leaping for joy people like her never get a chance to write official definitions. Her world, if she was given any real power, and created it would involve a lot more suicide. W_ is one of those skilled types. You can almost imagine him being a Dukes of Hazard driver able to manoeuvre impossible feats. Or the type of Uber or Taxi driver you could slip a $100 bill to and he would know exactly how to get you to the airport before your flight takes off without you.
