The problem at work, Matt, is a 24 year old with a Narcisistic Personality Disorder. The bosses coddle their little bitch boy as he threatens to assault, Henry, the Zen, calm one with his fists in the hall in front of the Guests and all. She, Marla, likes me. And when she comes into my corner, the bitch boy throws a tantrum like a small child who doesn’t get his way. I do care about her. She barged into my life without asking. She’s included me in the dance I never asked to be apart of. The nights when it’s just us, I see the portal of the life of our dreams, but when the bitch-boy works shifts with us, he pushes his way into her heart. O-Lan has a big heart full of love. And the times we are together and it’s good I think of Sadhguru’s poem about his wife when she passed away: She was love and nothing more.
I brought my guitar to work tonight and played. I won her. It was like fate. Henry, and the kitchen workers began playing drums and spoons to our music like the Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroe’s, Home.
Later, Becky, the Front of House Manager went-off on Matt because he touched her the wrong way. He walks around bossing everyone around like he some sort of prince. And the owners do nothing. It brings out the protective father side in me and I am ready to go full-on Tyler Durdan on him. I can. He thinks I’m a push-over and he’s stepping all over her and, - and the employees I care about.
